you don't have to get dressed up to go to emerils...during the summer i went to a few restaurants wearing shorts & a shirt & had no problem.....

enjoy emerils...i was there when they first opened & really enjoyed it...

You'll be fine with a long sleeve button-up shirt and dress pants.. pair of khakis will be fine.

Basically they just want u to make an effort to dress well... it would take a lot for them to turn u down at the door.

HAVE FUN!! :00hour

I could be wrong, Vegas might be different. But I don't think shorts are appropriate if they specified biz casual. Khakis and a nice shirt are called for.

As for Emerils, wife and I have done several of his recipes and use a couple great spices he has. Her only request when we were in Vegas for the Super Bowl was to eat there. We went with IX Bender and his buddy Jon. While it was nice and I would certainly go back, it definitely left me pretty disappointed. Remember though, that my expectations were sky high.

Let us know if they throw you out :)

Did they let Bender in wearing his hat?

Emiril's is not nice enough to "demand" a certain dress code. Don't stroll in there in swimming trunks.

On the course!
If you think you're under dressed, you probably are.

(But, I've seen some hideous shit fly in LV!)

I thought it was good overall, not great. The service was one of the better parts but the wine list was pretty expensive if I remember correctly. Knowing its Vegas and whatnot, even places like Smith&Wollensky had much more reasonable bottles. I expect 3-4x markup dining out but have a hard time paying $115 for a bottle that I ordered at cost for 12.99 two weeks before. Food was solid, not spectacular, went with the bone in chop if Im not mistaken.

Agent is responsible for getting me turned on to craps, so it was my madjacker duty to get sixfive hooked. You can easily pull off dress shorts and a collared shirt. No hats, u dumb moose.

Emeril's in Atlanta really was terrible and had so many changes in Chefs and management. Food was poor both times we ate there, overpriced, cold, etc.... and it was given bad reviews each time it was published. It finally closed in April of this year. I expected way more like Agent did and it was terrible. Loved NOLA in New Orleans though.

I was under the impression you were meeting a group and they stated biz casual. If that is the case, you can't wear shorts. Otherwise, a nice pair of shorts and a Golf shirt would be fine at Emerils.

Sounds like IX passed on some superstitions as well as a craps addiction. I was amazed how many things I had in common with that guy!

I had the same experience at Emerels. Good food. Certainly nothing wrong with it. But it didn't overwhelm me. We went back a second time on another trip. We ate next to the guy that does the Yankee Workshop on NPR in there. Norm is his name. He was a nice guy and liked the food too.

Never been to Vegas, but have been to all three of Emeril's restaurants here. All are good, but like the reports on Vegas' Emeril's, not particularly overwhelming. As for attire, I wear slacks and button down.

BTW, if they have a tasting menu, or degustation, I would go with that for sure.
