All right.

I'm breaking the seal and poking my nose in over here.

Kurt Busch to win 7-1. Really thought I'd see a 4-1 or 5-1. He knows this track like his own backyard (for obvious reasons) and has been best driver out there this year and late last year. Those are short odds on any driver in any race but I think there's value here. Toss up finish last week and if it went the other way, he'd probably be 4-1 here.

Also, my favorite driver has long long odds this weekend, and I like both of these...
Ricky Craven to win: 35-1.
Ricky Craven to place: 8-1

Craven's Pontiac is running great this year. He's had a terrible history in Vegas, but I don't see anything that indicates he should be 35-1 against winning this thing.

His crew did an excellent job last week. He was consistently out of the pits ahead of where he went in. He's going to have a hard time winning anything without fellow Pontiac drivers pushing him around, but I think he can battle with the best this week.

Your Bush play is a solid one! He has as good or better shot at winning as anyone.
The only problem for me is that my book does have him at 5-1 :(

I would have to go with history concerning Craven!
He just has not done well here and I see no reason to think this would be his first great run.
Keep in mind that we are taking about him having to have a great run not just good.
Until he proves he can make this track work for him I would wait.

Good Luck

Missed 'em both but Busch was running fine till he got tangled up. He finally went off at much shorter odds, so I feel good about the bet.

Craven started too far back. and also turned his front end into scrap. I bet on him every week just because I like him. He would have needed the front runners to crash, but he'd made up 8 spots (to about 28th) before his accident.

He still has a good car this year.

Ryan Newman had a great performance, as DW mentioned, coming from 2 laps down to finished 7th :eek. Good run for Stewart. Junior kept it together. I don't like him too much but this was just what he needed.

GL.

Onto Atlanta for a fast one.

Shrimp.
Craven has tracks that he is a threat on he also has tracks that he needs to prove himself on.
Vegas has been like Kryptonite to him.
I dont know if I will be playing him to win but I believe you will be able to pick up some good value matchup plays with him this year and come out a winner.

Good Luck with Atl. If history holds up it will be a mudfest around here.
