I was at this game. Sat on first base line and lemme tell you, Stephens has some pretty good offspeed stuff from what I could see. The BJ batters were swinging out in front by like 2-3ft before the ball arrived. No fastball though, never saw any of his pitches get in the high 80s (fastest I saw was 86). He got hit hard to begin and I swore he wouldn't last 4 innings but then he settled down (as did Walker) and neither team could cash in the baserunners in the middle innings.
This Walker kid needs another pitch I think. Doesn't throw hard, and not many SO's. Orioles were hitting line drive singles off him like it was BP. Escobar sucked again, almost gave it away. However, I REALLY liked what I saw from Politte. He's a hard thrower with good location.
Why didn't Delgado start today? I was a bit late.
