Wisconsin +6.5 at home against Ohio State.
This is one of those plays that loosk real attractive too me.
Wisconsin at home, against an overrated Buckeye team that is do for a loss. Badgers have recently owned OSU, and there won't be many other games with more value than this on the board. This one sticks out to me, and I am definitely laying big cash on it. It could possibly lose, but I've gotta believe that OSU will have a hell of a time covering that line up at Camp Randall.

ohio st only plays 5 away games in a 13 game slate...and their 2 road wins were not exactly dominating(cincy and northwestern)..7 looks like alot....i think maybe wisky may have been peeking at this one last week.....gotta think wisky will be goosed here......i think i`ll try the 7 also....a big step up in class on the road.g.l.....

...careful here guys. i'm not trying to step on any toes here, but i think that OSU's speed really shows up on the turf this week. my early numbers have osu by 10, but this is probably a pass for me. after losing outright as a 2 td fav to a sorry ass indiana team, there's no way i would back this wisky team...even in their own house. good luck whatever you play.

Best thing to do is to pass this game, OSU is terrible away from home, but the Badgers are depleted on the offensive side of the ball. Evans is out and so is the star running back. This game has pass written all over it.

Evans has been out all year. Just may play in his first game this weekend. but they said that 2 weeks ago to. At running back the kid that fills in is little or no drop off. they are lucky to have to good backs. Im a wisky backer. There slipping as they did last year at this time because there D is not strong. I would play OH St at anything 7 and under.

an overrated Buckeye team that is do for a loss.

Dizzayton - Though there is some bias to my feelings here as a huge buckeye fan, I have to say that you are a little off (to say the least) by saying that the buckeyes are overrated and do for a loss. As one of the front runners for the fiesta bowl, they are truely a dominant team with top-notch running attack, stiffiling d (minus some problems against the pass) and a great coach.

i have to agree with you that, on the road, at camp randal makes playing against the buckeyes a very tempting angle, but before you through your money down consider that wisky barely beat fresno st. and northen ill. at home who are two teams that a far inferior to OSU. they also could not handle penn st. and are coming off a dismal loss to IU (which I happened to be at and their defense was just pitaful against a bad IU team).

yes, osu has not shown that they are a good road team, but i believe tressel and clarrett and the rest of the team comes to play on saturday. if anything this is a definite no play.

Thanks for the advice, I will look for other plays as it looks as though this may be an unusually soft Wisky team.

Go Buckeyes, I like them a little too, went to college near there.

Well its good to see someone actually listen to some advice in here. I dont do it alot myself and have got spanked hard at times :) ....

Sometimes you have to overlook all advice and just throw it down.

Have I explained my throw it down principle to you ?

There are alot of ppl that will and can help you not lose your money. Expecially if they are from the area and follow the other team closely. They will usually not steer you wrong.
This is what madjacks is all about. Maybe you wont feel so good if Wisc stomps OHIO :)

LONG LIVE MADJACK SPORTS !!!!!

Dizzy,

Just a few factors to point out for you here, first my play is on the Buckeyes and now I will give you the reasons

1. 7 of the last 12 in this series have been decided by 14 or more points
2. Here is my biggest reason Ohio State is full of speed and this is on the fake stuff, OSU is 23-8 ATS on the turf since 90, big advantage for Clarett
3. Wisconsin struggling at home in my opinon as well N. Illinois almost beat them at home, most convincing win was against Arizona

I am not one to try and change minds just giving a little info

you aint changing minds you are contributing to winning plays hopefully.
First off :

1. Dont mean diddly dookey.
2. Wisc at home has got to count for something, havn't you heard of the home field advantage ?
3. Wisc may play their best game at home to date.

and everyone and his uncle is on Ohio State. Lets take our time and see if we can find some value ?

We need to see the edge ...Got any ideas ?

I would never bet OSU in this game, now that I think about it I'm going to most likely stick with WISCONSIN. You wanna know why?
Cause OSU's QB KRENZEL is nothing, he stinks, he can't make big plays and he will not be able to lead OSU to any championship no matter how good the rest of the team is. You wanna know how I know this? Cause I've watched him play about 10 times and have never even been remotely impressed. The guy is anything but a PRIME TIME PLAYER.

The QB sucks is a good one to know when capping the game.
How is Wisc QB ? Is he capable ?

if the Wisc QB is very good and sound fundamentals, then we may have a edge. So with that one edge you would make the play? nope not me yet....

Any line movement ? and remember we got to be careful not falling for line movement. Nolan said a long time ago it has practically no effect on who wins the game. We got to get on the right side.

lets look closer......the winning pick is in here.

Anyone any ideas ?

Bottom line in this game is that wsiky will be up for this game bigtime after disappointing loss @indiana. Yes krenzel is very poor and if wisco can get any kind of a lead in this game I would say that a SU win by wisco is a great possibility. The question is just how bad is wisco.. i mean they lost to one of the worst teams in Div I in IU so i wouldnt have much confidence in them. Buckeyes have struggled mightily on the road this year posting 11 pt victory @northwestern and a 4 point win @ cincinnatti... so take it for what its worth OSU has not performed well on teh road this season against opponents far more inferior than wisconsin. What does it say to me?? take the 7 or the 8 when it goes to 8 and take value with that home dog. I sure wish OSU wins this game by 4 touchdowns and makes a statement at camp randall, but the facts are that if wisco can stop the run OSU is in for a very long day if they rely on the arm of craig Krenzel.. GO BUCKS.

I would echo djv's thoughts. Badger fan here, but this is not a good team, and they're starting to show their true colors. Indiana scorched their defense, which is not a good sign.

One key: this thought of Camp Randall as an impenetrable home field just isn't true any more. Their home spread mark has been crap the L2+ yrs, since the Rose Bowl vs Stanford. Tailgating starts early, and all the students are cocked by gametime. The game itself is often a distraction for them.

As for the Badger team:
* Offensive line was supposed to be great. It isn't. Too damn slow. Pass blocking is bad; rush yards/carry not up to Alvarez standards.
* Bollinger's a veteran and I actually think he's played pretty well. Receivers are young (Fr/So) and drop too many passes
* Defense just doesn't have any playmakers. They looked real slow vs PennSt; Mills had all the time in the world, and the Nitts didn't punt until the 3rd qtr. And the Indiana debacle was just a headscratcher. Where did that Hoosier offense come from?

I played the Buckeyes(-6) early. GL.

Scott are you saying line movement has no value?

kc

Nolan did a study on this over the course of like a year. He took looks at when the line moved one way how it affected the outcome. He was not able to see any value one way or another. After I read that I began thinking about it and havnt used line movement so much in my capping.

I think it will help get you on the right side but may not be as important as i once thought it was.

This s... is complicated :)

IMO opinion line movement is one of the most important factors out there. I barely look at stats at all. I let the books do the picking for me.

Going in to LW game against Indiana, the badgers were giving up 144 ypg rushing at 4.3 ypc.

They have played:
- Fresno +9 23-21 L
- @UNLV +5 27-7 L
- WVU +11' 34-17 W
- NIU +22 24-21 L
- Ariz + 5' 31-10 W
- PSU +2 31-34 L
- @Ind -13' 29-32 L

This badger team is 2-5 ATS this (2-3 at home), the numbers do not support a play on Wisky. On the contrary, I would leam to the buckeyes -6' points.

Indiana is not a very good football team & beat this badger team.
Maurice Clarett is the real deal. OSU avg 236 ypg at 5.3 ypc. I see Ohio St running the ball down their throats.

I do believe that Bollinger is better than Krenzel at QB. However he is more of a runner than a passer.

Unless OSU blows up or Clarett fumbles 2 or 3 times, the buckeyes should cover this game. I believe that this is an Ohio state play or a pass

Just my opinion.

Good luck in whatever you wager on!
