That is sad news..had to go back in the MJ archives of 2002.Always remember Mama telling this story here...

Story that had me in tears:
In a supermarket, Kurtis the stock boy, was busily working when a new
voice
> came over the speaker asking for a carry out at check register 4.
Kurtis
was
> almost finished, and wanted to get some fresh air, and decided to
answer
the
> call. As he approached the check-out stand a distant smile caught his
eye,
> the new check out girl was beautiful. She was an older woman (maybe
26,
and
> he was only 22) and he fell in love.
>
> Later that day, after his shift was over, he waited by the punch clock
to
> find out her name. She came into the break room smiled softly at him,
took
> her card punched out, then left. He looked at her card, BRENDA. He
walked
out
> only to see her start walking up the road.
>
> Next day, he waited outside as she left the supermarket, and offered
her a
> ride home. He looked harmless enough, and she accepted. When he
dropped
her
> off, he asked if maybe he could see her again, outside of work. She
simply
> said it wasn't possible. He pressed and she explained she had two
children
> and she couldn't afford a baby-sitter. He offered to pay for the
> baby-sitter. Reluctantly she accepted his offer for a date for the
following
> Saturday.
>
> That Saturday night he arrived at her door only to have her tell him
that
she
> was unable to go with him. The baby-sitter had called and canceled.
To
which
> Kurtis simply said, "Well, lets take the kids with us."
>
> She tried to explain that taking the children was not an option, but
again
> not taking no for an answer, he pressed. Finally Brenda, brought
him
inside
> to meet her children. She had an older daughter who was just cute
as a
bug,
> Kurtis thought, then Brenda brought out her son, in a wheelchair, he
was
born
> a paraplegic with down syndrome. Kurtis asked Brenda, "I still
don't
> understand why the kids can't come with us?" Brenda was amazed.
Most men
> would run away from a woman with two kids, especially if one had
> disabilities. Just like her first husband and father of her
children did.
>
> That evening Kurtis and Brenda loaded up the kids, went to dinner and
the
> movies. When her son needed anything Kurtis would take care of him.
When
he
> needed to use the rest room, he picked him up out of his chair, took
him,
> brought him back. The kids loved Kurtis. At the end of the
evening,
Brenda
> knew this was the man she was going to marry and spend the rest of her
life
> with. A year later, they were married and Kurtis adopted both of
her
> children. Since they have added two more kids.
>
> So what happened to the stock boy and check out girl? Well, Mr. &
Mrs.
Kurt
> Warner, now live in St. Louis, where he is employed by the St. Louis
Rams
and
> plays quarterback.

Bart....I think it's either Iowa or Minn.

oh ok. I just didnt know. I never had the opportunity to meet Annie but used to read her posts when she was more active on here. I just wanted to know if she was close by, because if she was, I would certainly attend the funeral.

Jack, please keep us posted on the family, especially her daughter. I can't imagine how hard this must be for her

Hadn't been on the computer or madjacks for about 4 days and I come back to see this. All I can say is I am completely shocked. Completely shocked. Annie was always extremely nice to me even when I was going through a lot of shit. She was always supportive. I met her once but talked in the old chat room, aim, and via e-mail a lot back in the day when I was a young stupid punk on here (lp7slip or lockport7). She always gave me support and guidance even at times when I wouldn't listen. I learned a lot from her.

Jack if there is anything I can do please feel free to e-mail. Also when you get service information I'd like to get the address.

I'm still in shock of this. Annie will be missed but not forgotten. Those at MJ's will miss her presence dearly. It's a very sad day.

Deeply saddened. Remember some great times at the MJ Superbowl party.

Remember how proud she was of a little league team in her area going to the World Series? Just one example of her big heart, caring about everyone.

RIP Annie

Was shocked when I checked my fb pae today, the whole day i just kept thinking about the time she stayed at our house and how much fun we had for 2 days. Her and jerri really tore the town up. KC she was very proud of that LL team. I jumped on with her from out here helping her meet her goal she sent my dad a shirt and hat it was great. I talked with her over the years last time was a few months ago 3 or 4, then did not see her or get any notes from her on fb for about 2 months or so, thought she was busy or something then read a note on fb when i went in today just shocked, she was a great and very fun person.

The day has really been a down day she could always bring a smile to a persons face. just does not seem right, and her children will need help, she worked very hard to give them all she could.

I met Mama at the last official superbowl party when the colts beat the bears, didn't talk much to her, but could tell she was well liked and knew her stuff in the brief conversations I had with her.

She will be missed, and has to be rough on her 17 year old daughter for sure

Literally one of the very first people I met from MJs in person at the super bowl party many years ago.

There really are few people in the world that laughed more than she did.

RIP

I had the pleasure of meeting Annie at the 2007 MJ Super Bowl party in Vegas. Just like her posting persona, in person she was a very vibrant lady and I really enjoyed getting to know her a little better.

Mama will definitely be missed here at MadJack's and my thoughts are with her family during this time.
