if any other QB in the league put up the kind of numbers he has in the last 2 road games he would be benched...........he has been beyond bad........

I completely agree. It blows my mind that he is STILL allowed to play QB in this league. The guy is just terrible. If you consistently throw the ball 5 yards over the receiver's head on a simple 5-yard out pattern, maybe QB isn't for you. Perhaps my favorite thing is hearing Madden stammer over his words when he criticizes him. You can tell he wants to just rip the guy, but he ends up saying something like "ummm... accuracy maybe isn't Michael Vick's strong point." Gee, ya think John?
Oh ya, he definitely gets a major pass. And imagine if he didnt get to pad stats in a dome 8 games a year; the guy is lucky he didnt end up in New York, he would've gotten chewed out by the media.
check out his QB rating on rd last 2 years--among the worst in league .. i looked earlier this year and it was laffable
of course he gets a pass, he gives us highlight reel plays every week and appears in video game commercials.
While I have a problem with the fact that he's a terrible QB and is probably the most overrated player of my lifetime, the reason I really can't stand the guy has nothing to do with sports. I won't get on my soapbox, but I think you guys know what I'm talking about.
