Where it is real F ing COLD
The news regarding the Viking's star RB gives the NFL another image hit this week, goes to show running a football doesn't raise life IQ. Peterson will plead not guilty as he thinks using a switch is acceptable punishment although he admits remorse via text message to the child's mother after the incident had happened. So the question is, what happens now? Does the NFL automatically give Peterson a 6 game or even a season long suspension? Do the Vikings release or continue to deactivate him? Do the organizations have to wait until a court decides? You can bet any type of harsh punishment will be met by the NFLPA requesting due process and that could take months. The real tragedy isn't the physical abuse, those wounds will be healed in time. The real problem is the child's psychological well being especially if the boy's accounts of leaves in the mouth, being punched in the face, and being scared of daddy are true.

Is this worse than the Ray Rice situation because it involves a child? There is a difference of opinion, while many are disgusted by the discipline there is an outcry on blogs and message boards supporting Peterson. Many citing whoopings as the norm for discipline, "It's what I got." Weather you agree or disagree this type of discipline should never be placed on a child especially a 4 year old boy. Childhood should be the happiest times of your life filled with great childhood memories, not whoopings.

The comment section in places i have saw have many supporting Petersen....I say bullshit..All these idiots think whooping a child is good for them...FUK that....It's unexceptable IMO....People say whoop your kids and they will turn out good people then...Um NO..I never spanked or even yelled at my kids and they're both wonderful people. It's like people are looking for a reason to lay a whoopin on kids from what i read....Sorry but there are other ways. If you need to whoop ur kids you have serious issues yourself.....If Petersen is guilty he needs to be dealt with..I'd say the exact same thing if it was Aaron Rodgers..No place in society for this.

You never yelled at your kids? Kudos to you. What I think AP has done is despicable but now it's up to the courts to decide. This can go on for months. He will be playing soon if the Vikings let him

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Never once in your life

Never once in your life

yelled at your kids....my hats off to you:0008

by the way, are you a mute?:mj07:

I think if you look at AP's childhood, the switch was probably used more than once, in life we tend to mirror our parents more than we care to reveal.

NEVER once yelled at my kids...i myself was a great kid and we raised ours like we thought was right and they are awesome.....People can believe it or not if they want....I do not believe in verbally harassing my kids or spanking. They turned out great..I think we did great.

Things have changed big time.....we use to get hit with the belt....nowdays u will go to jail...crazy how things have changed....I feel when we were kids we were alot better than kids these days...im not 1 to hit a child..maybe a slap on the ass...while back had a daughter who was out of control...actually picked her up in PA at my x's house. ..because she couldn't handle her no more....she didnt like me picking her up...because she knew I don't put up with anyones shit....well as time went on...she wouldnt respect my rules under my roof. ....pissed me off so bad...I picked her against the fridge and told her to get the fuck out of my house....years have now passed since...but she learned the respect...but the whole matter is its funny how things have changed
