RG III

Have to agree with Shleprock on this one!! The difference between Ponder and Griffin is night and day. Now saying this it will NEVER happen. They will hope the USC tackle will fall to them or they will trade down to acquire picks, but I draft RG III REGARDLESS..

Even if you have to trade Ponder and only receive a #2 pick, you do it or even if you do not want Griffin, I think you still draft him and have him in your possession then try to work out a trade. I think having him on your roster is much more valuable than the #3 pick overall.

I do like Ponder and I think he will be a good QB but like Shleprock said, Griffin can be a franchise QB for a long long time.

Problem.. The Vikings suck at just about every position and they have a dumb fucking coaching staff that is living the world of 80s football.

Vikings need to get rid of the clueless Frasier and start from there. RGIII won't help them till they address other offensive deficiencies in both the line and at wide receiver. But there main issues are in the organization and that is hard to fix.

Well if I was the GM for the Colts I would gladly trade you Luck and some scrubbage for Ponder and blown out knee Peterson.

You cannot be serious about taking this guy in the 1st round can you?

He is 3rd rounder at best I would think. College and pro are 2 different animals.

Are you saying RG III is a third rounder??

The NFL has changed defensively. All the passing records are being broken, nobody can play defense any more except the NINERS and Steelers. RG III is on the level of Newton IMO..

Yes the Vikes need O - Line and Receiver but there are a ton of free agent receivers coming out

Yeap and if that. I am not that impressed. Actually I never am with QB's unless it is a natural drop back passer which is what the NFL is suited for.

On second thought yes please take him Minn. Mistake in my eyes. What do I know though lol.

I am not impressed with Luck either. I actually hope the Colts trade this pick. They need to address other issues and they can get quite a bit for Luck.

They can always get a QB in a later round if needed. There could be some sleepers in the later rounds.

$$ is a factor with Peytons contract. I would imagine he restructures at some point. If Colts trade him which I can never see happening then that changes everything.

If you ask me the best QB in NCAA football did not come out and I was pissed when he didn't. Barkely from USC has NFL QB written all over him.

We need LB's, a freaking RB who can stay healthy, O-Line and WR's. Luck will not last long when he has nobody to throw too.

Right, but don't you have to spend money to get those players

Yes they have to spend money to get players.. They are going to have to go to free agency to get players cause there aren't enough draft picks to get em.. The way I see it, they draft Griffin and trade him or trade down to hopefully acquire a bunch of picks.. USE all of your picks on O - LINE and Defense (Secondary) try to fix your receiver problem through free agency.. Should have money to spend.

Here is what I hope happens.

Winfield will be coming back, I think, will he stay healthy.. He makes $3 million next year cause he didn't play enough games this year,

Players who should come off the books..

Hutchingson should not be back $7 million plus

Barrian's $5 milllion :mj07:

EJ Henderson

Cedric Griffin

Kleinsasser

Shiancoe

I'll have an entire list but that is a lot of cash.. I still can't believe they gave Robison a truck load of money.. No clue what this team thinks? They are in denial about their talent.. The coaching staff believes that C Sullivan is good. WTF

I didn't read through all this crap but there is no way you get a 2nd round pick for Ponder at this point.

You would be lucky to get a 4th round pick. He has regressed as a QB.

He did not end strong and that is for sure but he has shown that he has upside. I wouldn't mind keeping him if they can protect him and give him somebody to throw to.. The kid is going to be good. Not great but good..

If I were the Jets, I would be calling the Vikes today.

He hasn't shown shit. They wouldn't be calling. The Vikes would be the ones trying to dump him for something.

Sorry for giving you a hard time but I wouldn't take Griffin either. Doesn't mean he won't be a good pro but he is not worth the risk of a pick that high.

We will have to agree to disagree.. I think he did alright considering he was running for his life and throwing to Aromachedue..

I'll remember this thread even if wrong..

If the O lineman from USC is not there then I would expect them to draft Blackmon

I just believe in you think a franchise qb is available you take him no matter what you need. Packers took Rodgers when he was left there they didn't need qb back then. Who knows Indy may now take Griffin and Luck would fall to Vikings you would have to take him.
