Villanova @ West Virginia -4 Why???

Nova is 20-4 (8-3) and ranked #13; WV is 16-8 (5-6) and un-ranked. Know it is a home game for WV and that Dwayne Anderson is questionable, but why is WV the favorite? Is this one of those "trap" or "Vegas" games? Or am I just naive?

Comments and suggestions appreciated.

i don't know the #'s but ... I'll bet home teams are better ATS @ home in con B east gms... you only have to look at ND last night.... maybe the lines makers are playing off that gm ?

I have West Virginia #1 in Strength of Schedule. Still think Villanova has a great opportunity to win SU.

vill has played 5 road gms in con...... 2 of 4 losses SU , have come the only time they were road dogs... + 9 @ CONN ; lost by 6.... .....+3 @ MarQ: lost by 7...... 0-2 as a road dog in con SU.....1-1 ATS AS a road dog in con ...... they beat Marq by 18 home & lose by 7 on the road ???? 3-2 SU on the road in con....3-2 ATS on the road in con........ maybe 500 after tonight ?? :shrug: THERE IS GOOD SUPPORT FOR THIS DOG... VEGAS WANT'S THIS CHALK... LAY IT OR PASS ....

If you look at lines against common opponents you will find that Vegas has regarded W Vir 6 or 7 points better than Vill all year. I like Vill tonight. Might even play them to win outright.

Not sure who I am going to play yet if at all but I show 86% of money on Nova to cover 4.5 and the line went up for West Va so that looks like public may be on the wrong side once again. College players are still young men, so they play a lot differently at home than if they are away. I think the game will be close and I like Nova to cover but since line keeps going up now I lean towards WV. GL with your selection.

Like that score papi! I think WVA will defend the 3 ball well as well as maintain a small edge on the boards and I got them by 10-12 pts and right around 137 total pts! GL
