Today was VY Day in Houston. Said he wanted to play here. Tomorrow night courtside guest of Rockets' owner with a ceremony.

You all that dont live here cannot fathom the heat the team is getting. i still theink the move is to trade the pick, but if they dont draft Young they are going to have as serios PR and cash issue.

Yeh it could be the biggest mistake they ever make.

I am sure Dan Reeves agrees with taking VY, aka Vick. Reeves never met a owner he could stand up to.

Nope...Reeves wants Carr is my understanding. Allegedly thye will leave it up to whoever the new coach is, probably Kubiak.

sorry Sun but no way a coach is going to make that final decision. They may blame the choice on the new coach.

Owner makes that one aka Jones / Dallas

Vince is an unbeleivable qb, but i am not sure his game will translate well to the nfl. I think the texans would be crazy not to take reggie. I thought he mad a dumb mistake with the latteral, but he is the kind of player that, in the nfl, can return punts and kicks, play slot, running back, etc. I don't see how the texans can pass on him.

I think that if vince was from oregon, iowa, or anywhere other than houston we would not be having this conversation.

He wasnt even in the Top 100 NCAA in kickoffs or punts. he is very overrated in the return game.

He cant carry more than 12 times a game and with a pathetic O-Line and his size what is he going to do?

If I draft Reggie #1 there is no way in hell I would let him ever return punts or kickoffs. Do you know the percentage of players that leave the NFL every year that return punts and kicks ? Its not
good for longevity in the NFL.

Texans have Jerome Mathis, no way Reggie would play as a return man.

Let me ask a question, that may or may not seem pertinent?? Do you think the Falcons were correct in drafting Vick?? And, or making him there franchis player??

Vince Young is a better passer than Michael Vick. Not to mention, he is 6-5, 235 lbs. Much more of an NFL QB build than Vick is.

The Falcons made the only choice they could make at the time.

The answer to Vicks problems are his height,
the way he throws the ball, and reading defenses.

Vick is probably no more than 5'11" tall. He has real trouble throwing over the 6'5 linrman he plays against every week. Thats why so many batted down balls at the line of scrimmage.

Vick has to move laterally out of the pocket to see and get the ball over the lineman. Thats why the west coast offense is a disaster for him. Vick pretty much locks in on one receiver at a time and thats who he throws to.

i don't get it at all with the texans. dominic davis is a great back. maybe not pro bowl, but puts up solid numbers. why are they in such a hurry to replace him. his o-line is horrendous and he puts up great numbers still. not his fault the line is bad. i agree, what is bush gonna do with that line. they need a line before they need anything else.

now that makes good sense.

Use the rest of the draft for offensive line players. and thats the basis for a good team.

And I was beginning to think that I was the only one that thought this way. Screw Bush, Young, Leinart, etc., the Texans have bigger problems than their offensive backfield.
