We're considering going on vacation to Virginia Beach this year. I have never been there...and was wondering if anybody has and has any words of wisdom!

I have 2 small boys (3 and 6 months) and wondered if this is a good environment for them (things to do, family friendly, decent beach, etc).

Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks in advance...

My only advice....and its jut my opinion....is to not go. Take em to Mrytle Beach. I've been there....and a few of my friends have been there....and not any of us had much great to say bout V Beach.

I'min-----thanks for the input!

I've been to Myrtle in the last year or so, and it just struck me as being way overly "touristy" than I seem to remember it. Then again, I guess most beaches our touristy... :)

I was just looking for something driveable and nice, without having to wait an hour and a half to get into Outback...

Ha!....I live close to Va Beach...I would consider Sandbridge...no strip..little tourism...but, a nice quiet beach area....what I would really recommend is taking the family about 70 miles south to Nags Head/Outer Banks.

Va Beach is dirty. IMHO.
