This is the only bowl game I am playing. This line is a huge overreaction to Tech's loss to FSU in the ACC Championship game. Louisville is very tough at home, but on the road they have been nothing special this year. VT is going to be hungry to get back some respect, and Louisville is in a very bad spot here IMO. Last time VT lost and got embarassed by Miami, they came back the next week and hammered Virginia. The line on that one was -7.5 also, whereas it should've been 13 or so, but the loss dropped the public perception that VT was among the elite teams in the nation. I look for Frank Beamer's squad to be the hungrier team here against a team that has not really been anything special this year, and played a much weaker schedule (only one game against ranked opponent). Not to mention the Hokies travel well, and will have home-crowd advantage. They will be doing the Hokie Pokie all the way out of Alltel stadium.

There have only been 3 games I have played bigger than this one.

Tenn +7 @ LSU (got lucky)
Auburn +6 @ LSU
Auburn +3 and ml @ UGA

You can go back and check my posts on these!

I love this one: Virginia Tech -7.5

Thought I would repost this thread for the bashers on my Auburn thread.

Hate to see my Tigers lay an egg like they did, but still a positive day for my bankroll.

I took VT at halftime, -6.5 just to win the game. That was a solid pick. -7.5 for the game may be more of a lucky shot there.

gjn23, definitely going to put this one in the same category with UT +7 @ LSU in the LUCKY category. But, that's how it goes sometimes.

I guess there are no punk bitches on Louisville's team. I'm sure Wildcat fans celebrated when Brohm when down with a knee injury. What a dumbass comment...I can tell you never played organized football...anyone who ever has would never wish a career ending injury on anyone!

You must have had one you clown, still looking back on those glory days???... Did you see Any Louisville players blatantly stomp on another player's leg while on the ground, I didn't...

And yes, I hope Marcus Vick doesn't get to play pro ball, he is a punk, a bitch, and we don't need anymore of those in the NFL.

You support Saddam Hussein don't you... :s4:

Listen "little pecker, phenom" every team has punks on them...don't think for one moment your cards were graced by the hand of God. All teams will have ass-holes...including Louisville!! Sure Vick and his brother aren't Peyton & Eli, but I've seen where these guys grew up in Newport News and let me tell you, you're cheese dick would hide behind you little nuts if you had to walk those streets at night...they don't know much more than fighting for survival.

As for your Hussein comment, SHUT THE HELL UP!! I've got two cousins in Iraq right now including one who got shot there and my wife survived that hell hole in 1991-92...what the **** do you know about Iraq!

I think Iraq is in the middle east.. And you are not a Saint because you have family that fought in Iraq, so do I...

And for your comment about the mean streets that the Vick's grew up in...Does that give them a ticket to be a thug? NO.... There are plenty of people that grow up in rough surroundings and make it out... but people like you would like to give them this excuse...

I never said Louisville was God's team, you came up with that one, chief. I was talking about ONE thug Vick...

I have and do work with inner city kids, but I guess I would hide in Newport.

I guess your handle fits, you really are Lost, Hillbilly.

Lost is someone who would wish for another man to have a career ending injury. Personally I hope Brohm comes back because he's a lot of fun to watch, but I guess when you lose a bet or a football game peoples health goes out the window!
