This is an impressive match up because it has one of the most efficient teams against one of the hottest teams. VT and Stanford both can move the ball. Tech has been average over 30 and Stanford in the forties. Both teams played wake forest and it was one sided. Both putting up the same type numbers. Can the VT defense slow down the Stanford offense. Well Stanford has a huge offensive line and I think they can run the ball well. VT also relies on the run with three runningbacks. Evan, Williams and Wilson are all dangerous and that means there is no let down at that position. I love the change of pace that #4 Wilson brings. He is the speed guy and I think he is gonna be a playmaker tonight if not in the backfield but on returns. I think Taylor is going to be a game changer tonight even more so that Luck. Taylor can run and throw and he leads his offense and knows almost every aspect of the offense. So I see a lot of offense and wonder which defense makes more plays. With that in mind I like VT in the secondary. They have 22 picks on the year and a lot of speed back there. Bud foster preaches effort and lunch pale mentality. He is also a very good gameplanner and I think he can do some things to slow Stanford down. Also the VT offense is a nice defense to Stanford. They have 4 potential home run gutters to run the ball and grind the clock but they also have a weapon to keep the secondary honest. Boykin is a very good WR and I am sure the Stanford defense will roll coverage to his side but the WR advantage I see is Cole. This kid just finds openings and has good hands. He has a chance to get lost in the shuffle and make big plays. Run run run pass and make a few defensive stops and I think VT wins this game. VT has a lot to prove but they are 1-26 against top five teams. Still this is a huge game for them Stanford hearing rumors about the coach leaving and two great game plans already on tape for VT to use. The Arizona st game is a good way to slow down the Stanford offense OR the Oregon game where you can take a look at the holes in the defense. Both teams come to play and it is gonna be a good game but I like the team with a good offense and a defense valuable (more so than Stanford IMO) to make big plays. Also think VT has a special teams advantage. One thing that pisses me off is the VT co just uses a lot of the run even in a good passing situation. I would like him to be a little less predictable. That normally happens when it's a pass and Taylor can add lib. Remember Luck has an 8 yard average per rush but I like the holiest speed, talent and reaction to not stop but make a few plays.

Virginia Tech (+3) over Stanford
Virginia Tech (ML) over Stanford
Virginia Tech/Stanford OVER 59

Rolling the winnings From that one of two huge play I made on Miss st and TCU.

Might hit Virginia Tech first half but waiting to see.

VT (+2) over Stanford first half

I am over extended on this game and I am VERY nervous. Maybe I'll get lucky and harvaugh will pull a Patrino during Louisville bowl when he told his guys I'm out at half.

Cheers

VT (+2.5) over Stanford second half
You help the left side on the over loaded left side run and stand would have been limited. Holding almost every play for the Stanford line. VT should be up two stupid go for it call. They get the ball. Come on VT.
