Vocabulary Question

I don't know about any of you fellas out there - but I can't seem to remove the words "Gay" and "Retarded" from my vocabulary.

I use them in negative conotations as in....

"That Chevy Cobalt is gay."

"That movie was retarded."

I know that yyz's tag is "When you say, "That's so gay", do you realize how retarded that sounds....which I totally get, but I really don't want to offend people.

I try to cut it out - but I can't seem to. It's not that I have anything against these particular groups of people....I am not a hater.....

I can't seem to kick it - maybe I should just be me or maybe I should quit as to not offend those around me. (It would take a lot of effort to be self aware - especially when drinking adult beverages)

Any thoughts......
