Love Georgia this year. Still 3rd best team in SEC but that still makes them def. top 5 in country. Vols not quite back yet I think Georgia wins this by 20

Think Georgia is #2, LSU did not impress me. It will all wash in the end because Bama ain't losin

LSU is no longer a title contender imo. The OL issue brought on when LT Faulk was lost for the season was thought to be resolved, but that is not the case, as it has become clear that the 6th year version of Dworcyak is even less mobile than before. The former starting guard is even less able to handle the edge after missing last season to injury. Mett's lack of mobility exacerbates the LT issue.

4 games into the season, and having played no good football teams, lsu ranks roughly 100th in passing offense, which is where this team has been every season since their last title.

Could not agree more Cie. He doesn't even look serviceable. To me, that is and has been, the difference between LSU and Bama; a serviceable QB that can make throws when needed. I don't see how they cannot get a really good QB? Hell they get 14 DT's it seems every year.

I guess they feel defense wins championships. But maybe they should settle for 13 dts and go get a QB or even 11 DTs and get the qb some WR and RB help

assuming it is a typo, but if you do feel this team needs running back help, then you are unfamiliar with the roster.

having watched each play this season, i would say mett looks like a typical first time starter at this level. he has above average arm, but not all-world. his main issue is dealing with pressure in his face, or sensing pressure from behind. his footspeed is poor, but he had moved in the pocket better each game until Aub's more ahtletic. i think he will be serviceable this season and above average next season. will have to wait and see on this.

LSU lost a big qb recruit to MLB draft 2 years ago, lost gunner kiel late last year and then lost the other qb recruit to juco.

this season they have 2 qb recruits, a dual threat out of GA, anthony jennings, and a pro-style out of cali, hayden rettig. both look like super prospects. hopefully they stick.

Cie, noticed you never mentioned Bolden (the kid from Penn St), did he ever come down, is he still there if he did. And if he's there what is the report card on him so far?

Rivers is the #2, which isn't a surprise since he had a big leg up on bolden given his time in the system. Hoping bolden will not receive a snap, since his eligibility runs concurrently with Mett's.
