EDELMAN, PRUDEN INJURED -- Winning this week at No. 23 Virginia Tech is going to be a whole lot to ask. Just being competitive against the Hokies would be difficult enough if the Flashes were heading to Blacksburg at full strength, but that's not going to be the case.
KSU will play this week without its top receiver, senior Najah Pruden, who injured his foot in the first half of the loss at Buffalo.
Quarterback Julian Edelman is also likely to miss the trip to Virginia Tech with what could be a bruised sternum.
"They don't think anything is broken, but he is in a lot of pain," said Martin. "We are waiting on a doctor's report. Pruden is out. It's an injury to the top of his foot. A ligament sprain. We should get him back for the final two games."
If Edelman does not play, last year's starter, Michael Machen, will take over at quarterback.
