Tulsa -2 (-108)
Simply, I think Tulsa is the better team and I like the increased defensive intensity that Coach Alvin Williamson has brought to the table. Chandler will get his, Elam is a sniper and is a tough matchup vs the Hurricane's small guards, but SJSU will not have an answer for Glenn and Price should be effective against a slower Misko (I would be surprised it Chandler guarded Price). I lean towards the over given SJSU's porous inside defense, but I can't rely on SJSU to put up enough points.
UTEP -4.5 (-102)
SMU is on the downtick and one of their main problems is rebounding. UTEP doesn't have a dominant rebounder but Tofi, Williams and Thomas all chip in. If SMU struggles shooting, and they have been, UTEP has the horses to take advantage.
