Be careful with Wagerstreet...A $900 check they sent me bounced...I'm working on straightening it out, but so far I'm out $56.00 in insufficient funds charges...I'm not a happy camper:mad:

You may need to check into this further. I had something similar happen to me but it wasn't b/c the check bounced. A lot of US banks have problems with the Canadian banks for some reason. When it happened to me...I called wagerstreet and discussed the situation. They asked that I write void on the check and send them a scanned copy. They received the copy while I was on the phone with them and they sent the money via Paypal plus reimbursed the bank fees for returned check. Canadian International checks have to be treated differently for some reason. If you look at your check closer....it probably says that the check is international and will have to be sent to collection for a charge. It usually takes 7-14 days after that to get the money after that....but you have to authorize them to send the check off again. I strictly use Paypal for everything now.

i was thinking about an agency that sends me checks from canada. i don't think wagerstreet checks come from a canadian bank. i always get them to deposit into my paypal account too. it's been a long time since i requested a check. so, i'm not sure, now that i think about it. just call bob and he'll handle it for you. you have nothing to worry about. that, I DO know.

Wagerstreet just sent me $1600 via PayPal on Wednesday within a few hours after I had requested it.

It turns out that Tchism is correct...My bank has to send for collection...I called wagerstreet and they reimbursed me for the fees I incurred no questions asked...It's strange, I can cash a check from accounts way overseas but I live a rocks throw from Montreal and the check won't go through without hassle...I guess I'll be going the paypal route from now on...thanks for the input fellas...

Checks

Checks

I can assure you that nobody needs to be "careful" when using our sportsbook, we have plenty of cash in the bank, in our neteller accounts, in our paypal account, western union etc etc,

Jack our checks do come from a Canadian bank, they come from the "Caisse Populaire in Kahnawake" which is the local Credit Union here In Kahnawake Quebec.

Some customers have bank accounts who will not honor a check from a Canadian Bank Account without sending the check off for collection first, Banks in Canada are not part of the federal clearing house system that banks in the US use to process checks, as such it depends on the customers relationship with his bank as to whether or not "instant" credit will be given for the check that is issued.

There is nothing we can do to prevent this, short of opening a bank account in the US (which last time did not exactly approve of internet gambling)

Books that Bank in the Carribean often have "corresponding" banks in the US that will issue checks so even though your check might be coming from St Kitts, it will be cashable through Bank of America etc, we feel it is more convenient to have our checks sent from our location here, rather than have them sent from Offshore.

We always recommend paypal as a means of withdrawing funds, it is simply the easiest and fastest way to receive money, even if the checks were printed on a US bank it would still take 5-7 days for you to receive the check in the mail etc, whereas with paypal you can have the cash in your bank account 36-48 hours from the time you make your payout request.

If anyone has any questions about this, feel free to ask in this thread or contact us at:

paypal

paypal

You may w/d any amount via paypal - winnings, deposit, the only requirement we have in terms of w/d's is that you must first refund any outstanding cc charges, so if you have made a credit card charge in the past that hasn't been refunded, then we will refund that card up to the deposit amount.

So as long as you have money in your account, and no outstanding cc charges you may take it all out via paypal which is free.

Credit Cards

Credit Cards

If you have cancelled a credit card and we process a refund, what happens is the credit card company will send you a check.

If you have reported a card stolen and they have given you a new number, the refund will apply to the card and if you still deal with the bank they will apply it to the new card.

Usually we will just go ahead and apply the credit to the card, however if you can provide us with some documentation that the card has been cancelled (a letter from your CC company) and a signed letter stating that you acknowledge the charge and would like to receive a payout via an alternate method we will be able to pay you out via whatever method you choose.

Give us a call and we will see what we can do for you,

Regards
