I had enuff of him last night. I'd hate to be the guy who works with him....

I ACTUALLY GOOGLED IT LAST NITE BC THEY SEEMED TO HAVE SOME SKETCHY MOMENTS DURING THE GAME...IT SEEMS TO BE PART OF THEIR "ACT". HE PLAYS THE STRAIGHT GUY WHILE WALTON RAMBLES...ITS QUITE ANNOYING IMO BUT HE SAYS SOME FUNNY SHIT EVERY NOW AND THEN....PLUS I HAVE BEEN TO MY SHARE OF DEAD SHOWS AND I LIKE THE WAY HE WILL REFERENCE SOME LYRICS OR A SHOW BUT THATS ABOUT IT

I find him entertaining but I'm a big dead fan as well.

He is annoying and you shouldn't take him seriously

I'm a Dead fan as well but he is so argumentative and he takes stabs at his counterpart so much he just started ignoring Bill. It is funny how how he uses some references from lyrics but I find him so annoying that I want to turn the volume off. All I can think of when watching is when the guy finds out who he draws as a partner and sees it's Walton for a UCLA game :nono::facepalm: He is so biased and let's it be known who his team is and since they were getting killed all game, he was pissed and lashing out at his partner whom completely ignored his childish comments. I found him in rare form last night  My over 1st half hit so I was happy :mj07:

The other night when they were talking about how great the NC/DUKE rivalry is, he tried to compare So. Cal/UCLA to it and started talking about the 60's between those two teams.....You'd have to be over 60 to even remember it plus still awake after 1am if you lived in the EAST.

I could use more of Bill's opinion on John Wooden......

Anyone used to listen to ESPN radio with Dan Patrick when Bill would call in and just start going off whether Dan asked a question or not? Dan used to just see how long Bill would go for. He is fun to laugh at.

Funny

I agree and I like him. However, I haven't watched a full game with him announcing in a while. He is an intelligent stoner who won championships in the NCAAA and NBA and could have been one of the best had it not been for injuries. IN his prime he could play with anyone and I mean Anyone.

Back when the SPREWELL choking Carlesimo "incident happened", and WALTON voiced his opinion on the matter, a younger co worker asked me,"Just how good of a player was this WALTON guy?" I told him while I never cared for him, if someone wanted to argue he was the best college big man ever, I wouldn't waste my breath disputing the claim.

He was right up there. He won an NBA championship against real good competition with a bunch of average players around him.

After reading this i listened to the dead for a few hours. It was nice....been awhile....

:0074

The XM Dead channel is a nice change of pace. Walton is a lot like Barkley. Laugh and don't take them too seriously. Best basketball analyst is and was Doris Burke. She knows and communicates the game.

Like the concert replays twice a day the best. That and hearing a lot of the offshoots like Jerry Garcia Band and Ratdog and Dead and Co.
Was fortunate-- and old enough...:scared-- to have seen the Dead 37 times over the years.

What a long, strange trip its been....

Walton is an acquired taste. It's takes a certain sophistication and nostalgic thought process to appreciate his levity and wit. Sometimes it take s a minute or two to get some obscure reference to the Deads or other pearls of wisdom that he interjects. I, for one, like him. He's different and entertaining. Not at all like Vitale's tired and worn out schtick that has never changed over the past 30 years. Walton is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get night in and night out.

And I hate the Pac 12 and it's arrogance, and yet I laugh every time he calls it, "The Conference of Champions." He does it constantly.

It would make a great college drinking game. You drink every time he says "Conference of Champions." :mj07:
