wrong again, Einstein- did you even break 800 on your SAT's combined?

Principal Parts of a Verb
Every verb has three main parts called principal parts.
The present is used by itself for the present tense and with the helping verb will for the future tense.
Example: I begin. I will begin.

The past is used for the past tense.
Example: I began.

The past participle is used with the helping verbs have, has, or had to make the three perfect tenses.
present perfect (I have begun)
past perfect (I had begun)
future perfect (I will have begun)

Most verbs follow a regular pattern to change principal parts. Just add d or ed to change the present to the past or past participle.
Example:

Present
Past
Past Participle

Now I talk Yesterday I talked I had talked
Now you clap Yesterday you clapped You have clapped

However, some verbs change principal parts in different ways. These verbs are called irregular verbs. To find out more, click here.

On the course!
Whats a SAT?

TV,

I thought the "click here" was funny too, until I realized that the "resident geenyus" needed to plagiarize from one of the websites he frequents for his "knowledge". He wasn't trying to be funny, just made a boo-boo.

The source of his "knowledge"

I thank the fine folks at einfoweb for correcting my error.
