Am I wrong? These people are denouncing the US Gov. and its actions. They go out and protest all day, go home and enjoy all the freedoms this country has fought for. Something is wrong here. Pick one or the other.

What an idiotic statement. Nobody is protesting against "the freedoms this country has fought for", they are just protesting against the idea of a pre-emptive strike on a regime that has not been proven to be a real threat to America.

Now, I want to make it clear that Iraq may very well be a threat to Israel and certainly Hussein is a brutal dictator who should be removed, but calling a person a traitor just for protesting a war is beyond stupid.

I see your point and my mistake. I apoligize for not thinking this through. I retract my statements and I'm more open minded now.

Nick,

I have noticed that when you strongly disagree with a post you state things like what an idiotic post or that was a stupid post. That is how personal attacks start.

Morris,

I disagree with you because I think they are voicing their 1st ammendment right. That is the staple of this country. I guess it is their right also to have a vomit in, although I think it hurts their cause. The thing I don't understand is that with all of the protesting being staged worldwide, I haven't seen any protests against saddam & his thugs. Surely these same caring people ,who fear for the innocent people who may suffer from a war, are upset about the years of brutal treatment the iraqi people have suffered under his reign. Am I wrong that I find this suspicious?

same as Nick said...but wouldnt say idiotic. simple mistake.

I was one of those people at the Univeristy who protested...but I certainly do not take my freedom for granted. I denounce the government and its curropt ways.

I dont think this is what the 4 fouding fathers of this country had in mind...but thats over 200 years ago.

I wouldnt consider myself a traitor especially after serving 3 years

Morris- it's totally understandable your reaction when it's our own boys over there getting it done. I get emotional. I wouldn't apologize for anything, as I've seen a lot worse from some of the hypocritical readers who took might have taken offense to your post.

sure they have the right to say anything they want....but we have the right to criticize them, denounce them, fire them, and the like for their positions

Why don't you guys just go live under Saddam. I think you might like it there. No one will dare question the government. Everybody will think like you, at least they will pretend to so not to piss the wrong people off. Come to think of it you might be on the wrong side of this thing.

I was being sarcastic Freeze. Just because somebody does not agree with you does not make him a traitor.
