I'm making a bold prediction here that Kurt Warner (how the hell is he MVP) will somehow lose a game in the playoffs for the St Louis Rams. I think Pittsburgh is the team that coasts to the bowl (although I would like to see Baltimore) and ends up playing Philly.
Todays picks:
Philly -3.5.....over 32.5
Jets +5 (ML consideration).....under 42

I agree that St Louis won't coast throught the NFC. The Rams were rewarded with home-field advantage, but it was on the road where they were undefeated. A good defensive team like TB, who beat them, or Chicago could spell trouble for the Rams.

Pittsburgh, on the other hand, does seem to have it a little easier. NE can hang with them, but I feel Baltimore has the best chance of knocking the Steelers off.

How the hell is Warner MVP? Look at the numbers he put up. He passed for the 2nd most yardage in NFL history, completed 68% of his passes, which is unheard of, and totally shreds defenses. I don't care what kind of receivers you have on your team. You still have to put the ball there and Kurt Warner does that better than anyone else. Argument: If you were to put Kurt Warner on the Bengals, would he put up the same numbers? Of course not, it is all about the weapons you have, but more importantly how you execute. While I agree that any solid defensive team can slow down the Rams, it's clear that they are the only ones that can truly beat themselves. I think that most agree that the Rams can hang 50 up on just about anyone if they really tried to run it up like that. While the Rams certainly may not cover every single game they play, I don't think they'll lose a game. Pittsburgh might be the only team that could slow them down, but Pittsburgh hasn't played a team like the Rams yet this year. Should be interesting if these teams get matched up.

MVP=Most Valuable Player.

Well, if you want to give this award based on "most value", then I disagree with Kurt Warner. Sure, he's awesome and I can't think of a better story in the NFL than Warner's, but as far as value...I'd go with Tom Brady. (No not because he's a Michigan alum...but that helps ;) )
NE was mud until Brady got his chance. He stepped in and guided his team to the division title after a horrid start with Bledsoe.

Warner and the Rams have many many weapons on their team. Do you key on Warner...Faulk...Hakeem and Bruce? You can't do it all which takes some of the pressure off of Warner. Don't get me wrong...the guy is good, but not "Most Valuable". Hell, I'm not even sure he's Most Valuable on his own team, let alone the entire league.

Interesting point there Smooth because before the award each team member voted on who they thought was their team MVP and Marshall Faulk won easy.
