Scott4USC,

You are a true asset to these pages, and we have all made good money following your picks. Keep up the winning streak!

But I must say I'm surprised at you speaking out against the Bruins. Here is a chance for you to defend the honor of the Pac 10 against the Big 12, and you completely shine it on! WTF? Where's the love, bro? ;)

Go Bruins. (See my post)

Thanks for the nice words. Especially from a Bruin in a thread where I kinda talked negative about your team. Very mature of you! I try my best to put myself out there and be accountable. Nothing to hide and hopefully can come out ahead!

People here think I have an agenda for USC or Pac 10. I really don't. I express my opinion and sometimes I come across to bold. If I think USC is going to win it all, I'll say it and back it up with huge $$$ wager. If I don't think the SEC is superior, I'll say so and back it up. If I see $$$ to be made betting for/against Pac 10, I don't care and I'll wager on it. Although I have come up on the losing end betting against the Pac 10 this year! :( If i have no $$$ against a Pac 10 team, I always root for them. Even UCLA! :)

I don't need to defend the Pac 10 against the Big 12. Pac 10 clearly was a stronger conf. last year and is again this season! Since i have no $$$ on tom. game, I am rooting for UCLA but will not be surprised if OU wins SU.

Bruin Game Post Mortem:
OU was much improved in their 3rd game, despite giving the ball away numerous times. They are big and fast in the trenches, and they have a gutsy kid at QB who made some plays. Sooners were moving the ball better while using Peterson as a decoy. When OU featured him, he was mostly bottled up. Sooners will improve every game TY.

The turnovers gave UCLA 17 points, and robbed OU of even more. I believe TOs are usually the result of luck, but today most TOs were created by Bruin DBs putting a helmet on the ball. That is not luck.

UCLA did everything they planned to do on paper: stop Peterson, force TOs, pound the ball up the middle, pass the ball with crispness, no TOs.

Lots to improve on, though. The running game did not break through until the 4th Qtr. UCLA committed lots of dumb penalties. Tackling was sloppy at times.

Bruins get better every game, too, and are good enough to keep winning in Pac Ten, give USC a game, and (if the planets fall into alignment) end up in a BCS game.
