Right behind you
"The rich are always going to say that, you know, just give us more money and we'll go out and spend more and then it will all trickle down to the rest of you," Buffett said. "But that has not worked the last 10 years, and I hope the American public is catching on."

Now watch the right wingers call him a commie/socialist/Nazi/shit-eating dog.

Yeah, i'm sure that will work. When you have thought of some solutions to our other problems just keep them to yourself.

If Buffett doesn't think he is paying enough, he should send more into Obama  :sadwave: quit bitching about it, just cut a check to the US government if you dont think you pay enough

"Alaska's my favorite country!"

Easy fallback and response TF.

Try harder.

I disagree with 98% of the politicians to begin with, you know that.

It's really easy for Buffett to sit in his Ivory Tower and talk abouth the family of 4 + dog who makes a combined income of 270.000 a year and has a print shop and 5 employees and they are going to get the Tax Man opening up their collective brown eyes every April. Are they rich ?

Note 1: the total tax paid is closer to 46-48% (2009, 47-50%), since the figures above do not distinguish between taxes on gross and net income, nor do they adjust for tax planning. Note also that the Tax Foundation's numbers are closer to 34% for the actual "average" US citizen.

Note 2: Inflation effects are likely quite understated - if actual inflation is 6% and one is only earning 4%. the tax rate is not the main issue.

Note 3: This page is not intended to be definitive and completely accurate on tax rates and issues - to do so would be virtually impossible considering all the factors. Its primarily intended to show a fuller picture than is normally presented.

illy that
salary u listed at 270,000. The taxes raise after the 250,000 limit. So in essence only the 20 thousand will have the taxes raised on it not the whole 270,000. Those fake conservative on the right who tripled the debt under Bush, fail to ever mention this.
