Was anybody else not impressed with Hurts last night?

He gained majority of yards on short throws and sure he ran for 100+ but that's because Houstons's D is garbage and couldn't tackle. He still can't throw a deep ball and personally can't wait to see him face a good defense.
He is average.

I totally agree, but you will never hear an announcer say that. Just like you will never hear an announcer admit that you must have an I.Q. of under 70 to be a DB in the NCAA. The truth of the matter is simply this. Football is doing a slow death roll. Attendance is down. The schools grab any players with athletic talent. They could care less about their mentality or lack of it. Unfortunately for them, the vast majority of people do care. Many of them simply will not waste their time going to a game, where they pay ridiculous prices to sit in a lousy seat, be uncomfortable, and watch about 1/2 of a game. We are witnessing a sad ending to a once extremely popular sport.

There's no way he can play quarterback in the NFL... the only way he plays at the next level is if he switches positions as you said cannot throw the ball down the field with accuracy at all !!!

I thought the same thing about Lamar Jackson. In college he could run but was not accurate passer.
