TCU had a bye week on 9/23, played their next two games on consecutive Thursday nights and were walloped in both contests.

So, what did them in?

Was it the bye week or playing on Thursday night?

I don't think it was either.

I blame it on poor coaching.

TCU won/covered their first two lined games and were satisfied to rest on their laurels. Even handled Div 1 AA UC DAVIS to the tune of 46 - 13.

During their week off, they probably lounged around, smoked cigarettes, watched late nite tv, laughed and partied. The coaching staff may have sprung for the pizzas.

Then, all full of themselves, they came back on to the battlefield and got clobbered by BYU and Utah.

Now, they're coming off a second bye week (how unusual is that?).

Do you think the coaching staff has them prepared?

I think not.

I smell beer breath and french fries.

yea Rice beat Army, but... Tulane beat Rice, SMU beat Tulane, Texas Tech beat SMU, Coloradao beat Tech, Baylor beat Colorado, and...Army beat Baylor
so what can you do?

seriously I think TCU gets back on track here.
Tech was TCU's super bowl. They had pointed to the game since Tech slapped 70 on them a couple of years ago. They had their first sellout in years for that game. Patterson went on a "we get no respect" tirade after the game. You could see the letdown vs. BYU coming a mile away, plus that was a revenge game for BYU.
No excuse on the Utah game. They simply got whipped. But that was against a predominantly passing team with scrambling quaterbacks. TCU has great athletes, but can be undisciplined at times. Leading RB Aaron Brown is returning, should boost the offense.
Lay the wood with the Horned Frogs.
