I hear you. Like I said, I don't judge what is important to other people anyway. You put that disease on anything you care about, and it's not good.
But it's not all that different as far as "they can't tell you." My son was diagnosed when he was 2. he is now 4.5. He gets a little more aware everyday, but for the most part, up to this point, he can't tell us when he is high or low either. We just have to read the signs and know him. That fact that he cannot tell us does make it soo much more difficult. Then add that on to the fact that I don't know if he is being a pain in the ass because he is 4 or his sugars are messed up makes parenting that much more difficult too. And I fucking hate birthday parties and the fact that everyone just wants to give little kids candy everywhere they see him.
My son is amazing with it though. He's such a good boy. Tough kid.
