WASHINGTON DC -- According to freelance journalist Wayne Madsden, "George W Bush's blood lust, his repeated commitment to Christian beliefs and his constant references to 'evil doers,' in the eyes of many devout Catholic leaders, bear all the hallmarks of the one warned about in the Book of Revelations--the anti-Christ."

Madsen, a Washington-based writer and columnist, who often writes for Counterpunch, says that people close to the pope claim that amid these concerns, the pontiff wishes he was younger and in better health to confront the possibility that Bush may represent the person prophesized in Revelations. John Paul II has always believed the world was on the precipice of the final confrontation between Good and Evil as foretold in the New Testament.

Before he became pope, Karol Cardinal Wojtyla said, "We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has gone through. I do not think that wide circles of the American society or wide circles of the Christian community realize this fully. We are now facing the final confrontation between the church and the anti-Church, of the Gospel versus the anti-Gospel."

The pope worked tirelessly to convince leaders of nations on the UN Security Council to oppose Bush's war resolution on Iraq. Vatican sources claim they had not seen the pope more animated and determined since he fell ill to Parkinson's Disease. In the end, the pope did convince the leaders of Mexico, Chile, Cameroon and Guinea to oppose the U.S. resolution.

Madsen contends that "Bush is a dangerous right-wing ideologue who couples his political fanaticism with a neo-Christian blood cult."

At best we get out of the war and all that happens is civil war for Iraq....

At worst we stay over there, invade Iran or Syria, Korea gets nervous and pretty soon major powers clash and WWIII breaks out....

The Pope's vision seems a little extreme, but given Dubya's track record with doing whatever he wants regardless of world opinion, his attacks against personal rights and the constitution, and the installment of the Patriot Act.....to repeat what was stated above as to his "righteous position" and pious attitude and the good ole' boys network with Cheney and the likes in place....

Having said all of that, why do I get the same feeling that Germans and other Europeans must have had during the late 30's during Hitler's rise to power?

Who are the right wing religious zealots again? :mj07: :mj07: :rolleyes:

This shit's been going on since I can remember. Interesting to read. I thought the A.C was JFK, then Nixon, Gorbachev (with the mark on his forehead), Reagan, Bush I, Bushy boy. Who's next?

Stevie,

I think being a crook is part of the application process in order to enlist for service with this administration. It seems as though anyone whom remotely utters a truth within the matrix is torn apart or led to the door. When the truth is brought forth and the public no longer buys the bullshit and opinion polls are taking a toll, then the administration either reaches for the religion, gay, or terror cards to throw the scent off.

I know a number of people that voted for Dubya. They bought into all the religious fervor and pulled the lever.......

By a mere 3 million votes or so we got what we got now......

Lately as I talk to some of these same people that cast thier vote to Dubya.....since the election they have learned more of all the bull$hit behind Dubya and his platoon of good ole' boys, and all the dealings under the table......

Now I'm seeing a little more disgust on thier faces as things get brought up on the news.....like all the new spending going on to fund the Iraq war......

Judging by thier faces I think they realize how far thier grandkids are buried.......

I just wonder, knowing what they do now, if that 3 million vote difference would be the same now as it was then......

If you add up the name 'George Bush' in Hebrew letters it comes out:

G = 3 (gimel)
e = 5 (heh)
o = 70 (ayin)
r = 200 (resh)
g = 3 (gimel)
e = 5 (heh)
B = 2 (beth)
u = 70 (ayin)
s = 300 (shin)
h = 8 (cheth)
total = 666 (Antichrist)

DBLMUTZ....I've seen this website before, and as much as I read this stuff and wonder about prophesy and how much of it's true and how much is bunk.....

Prophesy is subject to interpretation, and a big part of me wants to disbelieve all this, but then I remind myself of Hitler and his seduction of the masses....the consequences of his actions resulted in turning Europe into a burned out graveyard....

So history has shown that evil people exist. Some, like Hitler, leave death tolls in the millions....others, like the Dahmers and Bundys stay in double digits........

Time will tell.
