On paper, USC should win by 20pts. I have a few concerns for my Trojans in this game.
#1 USC is playing on the road in very hostile environment after beating rival ND on the road. Very tough to do. Husky stadium gets real loud.
#2 USC best LB Grootegood (awesome player) is probably going to sit this game out to rest his ankle. USC does not have much depth at LB so this is a concern.
#3 USC best OL Rogers is hurt but might play. He plays Tackle, and thats a tough position to play. USC OL depth is mainly at guard.
#4 UW strength is passing and USC weakness is stopping the pass. USC pass defense has improved but it certainly is not a strength.
I think USC wins this game on the ground. USC has been running the ball great last few games and no team in the nation has better young core of RB's than USC. USC has 4 STUD running backs (1soph 3 frosh). UW might score, but won't score enough. USC will keep UW offense on bench with a solid run game. In practice this week, USC focused on running the ball and frosh REGGIE BUSH (who scored that long TD against ND, looked really good breaking tackles left and right). They also practiced with wet balls in case of bad weather.
Oh yeah, if the running game aint working, USC could always throw the ball to the best WR tandem in the country!
I think USC wins 37-20 unless PICKETT is "ON HIS GAME" Remember, all teams play their best against USC. USC the is team to beat. Look at CAL, they circled USC game and threw everything they had to beat USC. Look at them after the USC game.
FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!!
