washington leading by 1 point and at free throw line for 2 shots (cleveland out of time outs) and hit both free throws for a 110-107 lead with 3.3 seconds left. labron has already hit 5 or 6 3 point baskets in last 3 minutes. cavs have to inbound from their own end and who are they going to try to get the ball to (good guess labron) and he hits a banked in 3 pointer with .3 left in game to tie.
My question is why not triple team him (leave someone else wide open as labron made 5 straight 3 pointer before this) as he is hot in 4th quarter from 3 point line and do not let him even have a chance to catch inbounds play and if he does foul him. he got ball and also took a step back to make sure he was behind 3 point line and then hit the 3 pointer. Is it against the rules in NBA to double or triple team a player as everyone in building except for washington coach and players knew ball was going to lebron. do not let him get the ball and take your chances with other cleveland players.
think I could coach better than this and retired from coaching 15 years ago.
