I'm guessing UCLA -6 or -6.5 sounds right. Anything higher and the books get an avalanche of WASU money. UCLA does have solid advantages in the post, but WASU's guards should dominate this game. They have made Mayo look like a freshman punk. I have to believe WASU is the play at anything above 5 points.

Thoughts from others? This is arguably the best game of the season up to this point.

I was talking to my buddy who went to Wazzu today and we both agreed it should be somewhere around 5. And I completely agree with you, I will definitely be on Wazzu if the line is around that number. No reason why they can't win that game outright IMO.

I want to see a total at 130 or in the high 120's in order to pound the Under.

as for the line, I would guess open around 5 and it will get built up by heavy UCLA backers.

WASU is 1-49 SU @ Pauley Pavilion.:142smilie :mj07:

However, WASU wasn't ever worth a damn until the past couple years when they got this sick backcourt. I mean WASU still doesn't look good in an airport, they have a bunch of white boys and they don't have any size... however, you watch this team play and they're very SOLID! They could make a remake of the movie Hoosiers about this team if they go to the Final 4 which is possible with Low and Weaver. Baynes and Harmeling are decent post players as well and Baynes is a banger than can play some ball.

I would be willing to bet that most people around the country couldn't name 2 players on Wazzu. Hell, maybe even one? I'm sure they think they are a fluke, kind of like So. Fla. in foots this year. Given that I went to UW, I HATE the fact that they are playing so well. But I have seen all of their games except maybe 2, and they are a damn good team.

Facing these guys must be like going to play some pick-up hoops and you look over at the guys who have next and they are all over 40 and about 5'8." You'll run over them, right? Nah, cuz they have fundamentals up the yang. Great shooting, great passing, filling the lanes, boxing out, and smothering defense. In fact, they play such great defense that you get frustrated and end up forcing shots.

UCLA game should be a great one. Low-scoring, defensive struggle I would imagine.

Be careful on this game. They play the same style and Wazzu's athletes aren't in the same class as UCLA. Last year's game at Pauley was close until around the 8-10 minute mark and UCLA went on a nice run. I will be watching this one as a fan, looking forward to it.

I hear where you coming from on this Hoosiers...Gimme a break w/these no name jerseys w/a freakin #'s the size of the moon on the back. F U Wazzu. I'm layin' the 6.5 w/the Bruins on a wake up call Tom Tuttle Special. Ya ain't gettin out a LA w/a sweep. Tough layin points in a 50's style bs shennanigin' peach basket, but U-C-L-A!

My first instinct is to jump all over the points. However, given that Vegas set the line that high scares me. It seems like they're begging for Wazzu money with that line. I don't see any way that UCLA is 7 points better than WSU, but maybe I'm wrong?
