Part of keeping football in the news off the field eh?!! :142smilie Russell Wilson has a perfect record vs winning QBs and matching this game up is just like matching up their route over Denver LY but I picked Denver, the difference in why I like Seattle this time is simply this, the heart of a Lion vs having been there and done that Brady bunch and shit vs the battle of two very good football minds in Bill & Peter pan! Richard Sherman with one arm or no arms is still worth something to Seattle "D". GB did expose Seattle as did Carolina on stopping the run, but the problem in those two games is, big plays and the right plays fell into Seattle's favor. Seattle has done this time in and time out the last 3 years and all at the right time. Brady has some weapons but mostly gadgets and swing plays and Blount will get his carries, but Seattle will spy on him in the trenches, probably will be their main LB on him. Special teams are about even, kickers about even and turnovers slight edge to NE, but most of those came vs opponents that were clearly out of the game, @ Indy, vs Buffalo and @ Miami. Seattle makes every opportunity count. The site where this one is played is a turface stadium, something that Russell Wilson likes playing on, Brady is not a run threat, he'll be looking for his TEs quite often and that could lead to being exposed by Wagner on "D" for Seattle. WRs for both teams are nothing special, Edleman and Amendola are experienced lil shits that catch the ball, Baldwin is undervalued and makes big catches, something that Amani Toomer and Giants WRs did vs NE last time those two teams played. Wilson at TE for Seattle will be a huge weapon and Lynch, Turpin should get quality carries vs NE front 7. NE wants nothing but to get into the record books and Brady & Bill know that this is probably their last shot at winning the big one. I just don't see Russell relenting or doing anything stupid, but I could see special teams and turnovers making this a one side game. How does Seattle give up as many turnovers as they did vs GB and win? That don't happen too often, the math comes out to something like if you turn the ball over 4 or more times in an NFL game, your winning % is 8.7% out of 100%. Seattle will clean up their act as this is the big one folks. They got a Super Bowl ring last year and not many felt they would be here again after their first 8 games, but their last 8 games they've been basically unstoppable. I don't think NE's "D" is even comparable to STL "D" that gave Seattle trouble and I definitely don't think NE "D" is even close to a healthy Carolina "D" w/Star Lolo in the game in which he was missing for Car vs Sea in the playoffs. Seattle will find a way to win and they know the stadium, having played the Cardinals there a few times under Russell. Brady can pick apart "D's" but has he really faced the type of "D" that he'll face in the SB? Chancellor is a freak. Bobby Wagner is also a freak, but the front 7 with Irvin as a special outside pass rusher, will give Brady fits. The x-factor if there is one here is an underdog has basically been money in the past 7 SBs and Seattle is a 1 pt dog at present, with 78% of public $$ all over NE right now and it should be. NE has been there and done that and has all the experience and best minds in the NFL right? NE also has a lot stronger betting base than Seattle does! My numbers come up with line that should have been NE -2, but Seattle opened as a pick to -3, depending on which line service ya'll use. The line has swung back and forth for a week with a week before the big game. I have NE on offense with a 12.31 yards per pt vs Seattle at 15.02 yards per pt on offense, NE is 17.96 yards per pt on defense and Sea is 17.13 yards per pt on "D". My numbers come out to 22.49 for NE and Seattle 21.9. So why wasn't NE a favorite by Vegas on the opener? Denver was a 1 1/2 pt opening doggy LY and was -3 by near game time before dropping to -2 and lost big time to Seattle. It was an on-slaught! Peyton was aged, he had good weapons and special teams, but what happened? Brady has all the same intangibles and talent and, an aged team and he's not a spring chicken anymore, he's about as slow a runner as Joe Namath was after his knee surgeries playing for the Rams back in the day. I have Seattle winning 28-24! Anti 78% on NE gives me a 3 pt margin of error with neutral site game, slight west coast favor to SEA for that.
