Sox may well win but the rust is going to be a major problem. From a capping perspective you gotta take Houston or pass in game 1, regardless of your Series pick.

You honestly think that an extra days rest gives that much advantage to Houston? :bs:

That will not have as much affect as you think. Both teams are going to be ready to play tomorrow.

it isnt a "day." Sox hitters will not have faced real pitching in a week. Most of their relievers havent pitched in a live game in two weeks. Anyone that knows anything about baseball knows it is an issue. Take a look at WS history ...the team that sat around and waited has almost always had problems.

Point taken....I just don't agree that it will be a problem.

I guess we'll see tomorrow.

CWS 9-1 so far in October

CWS 15-3 their last 18 games

CWS 3 in a row Vs Cle
CWS 3 in a row Vs Boston
CWS 4 in a row Vs Angels

At 13-1 odds, I think I just might take my chances on a sweep. Again, this is my opinion---I don't want anyone to follow me.

Sat game in Chicago
35 degrees and rainy...(rocket has pulled hamstring+cold weather=Loss)
Contreras over Clemens Game 1 (cold and rainy)
Beuhrle over Pettite Game 2 (cold and rainy)
Oswalt Vs Garland (13-1 odds on Garland has great value to me)
Garcia over Backe Game 4

I am betting the sweep based on Garland's game 3 outcome. If he loses game 3, I lose my 100/1300 bet, but when Clemens gets beat again in game 5 by Contreras I win my series bet of 100/500.
