Always a tricky proposition when you place a wager based on how the "other" teams in the conference performed. Penn State is playing in this game, not Iowa. Anyone who watched Penn State this year would tell you they start off slow and finish fast but they definitely know how to score. Down just 6 after 2 early picks. Should be a great finish! I bet a truckload on USC 1st half and game. Bailed out of half of it on half based on watching Penn State do this like 3-4 times in back half of year. Franklin makes killer adjustments at half.

I remember yrs ago when Sec lost a lot of bowl games...
Doesn't mean much IMO...motivations are always varying...each confrence has a few elite teams....then average fir the most part the rest of the way down....

Michigan loses in the final seconds w/o their best player on defense and w/o their best receiver on offense to a very good Fla St team at a Florida venue. Penn State loses on the last play of the game to a top 5 USC team at a California venue is hardly the same as Ole Miss getting blown out by TCU and Alabama getting their ass kicked by Ohio State two years ago.
