...Significant Weather Update-- Heavy Rainfall Continues...

A large area of thunderstorms producing very heavy rainfall is northeast of a Gainesville... Grapevine... Cooper line. Within this area... rain is falling at up to an inch an hour. Since this area of rain is moving northeast at 30 mph... rain may diminish to showers by 4 PM. However a large area of heavy rain and embedded thunderstorms is redeveloping west of a Shannon to Stephenville line. Rainfall rates within this area are also up to an inch an hour. As this new area spreads northeast through the late afternoon. Some urban flooding may occur... particularly in the northern sides of the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex north of a line from Weatherford to Grapevine to Denton where up to two inches of rain have already fallen since 11 am. The heaviest and most concentrated area of rain will remain north of I-30 through 5 PM. Since most areas of North Texas have received less than an inch of rain during the past 6 weeks... many roadways are now coated with oil. This will cause the roadways to become extremely hazardous to motorists when the water accumulates. Motorists are urged to drive with extreme caution. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio or other local media for the latest weather information.

I am in North Dallas and it has not rained here in over an hour. The rain is scattered and has not been very heavy. I am not saying it won't rain, but I would not make a play based on an expectation of terrible weather.

Wow total is dropping faster than the rain, everyone run to the window and take the under, I'll stick with the over.
