I'm going to do something stupid. I'm going to break down one of my plays here today. If it don't hit I will look dumber than a can of fishing worms. When I single out an ump here, bad things happen to me but here goes. By the way, this won't be my top play of the day. At the Mets today we have Emmel. Anyone that looks can see he is 9-1 over on the year. That looks easy, just bet the over and look, the line is only 7. There's a pretty good reason why the line is 7. Pedro and Webb are pitching with a combined 4.8 era. Now the over don't look near as good. Here's the way I look at it. The reason Emmel has gone over as many time as he has is because he uses a narrow strike zone. A lot of good pitchers have trouble with this. It favors the power pitcher that can overcome the batter with speed and control. It has been giving Pedro fits for the last couple of years. Webb might go 9 if he's on where Pedro might go 7. Can the bp handle the strike zone for two innings? Maybe. Look a little closer at Emmel. He is 6-3 for the dog and only 2-2 for the home fav. This looks like I have a very good chance at hitting a 1 unit par that pays very well. Or put it with something strong and go for a 3 teamer. Ari and over. Yesterday I had a similar game with SF and over. It went 0-2. That's the reason you don't straight both sides.
