This Vanderbilt game tonight is one they should win going away. But that don't mean they will. As I said they other day, Stallings has finally found out who four of his starters are but he still don't seem to have a clue about the fifth one. He has four players getting about 15 min at that spot. When he goes to the three guard offense he plays Drake and I have no problem with that. Gearge got 25 min at Fla (most of it in the second half) and Vandy came back strong, cutting a 25 point lead by Fla to 10 before losing the game by 14. In the Ky game Goulbourne played a season high 22 min and without his 17 points Vandy might not have won. Just killing time, I ran the stats on the four players that share that position. Here's what it looks like This is on the season.
The numbers are in this order---min played per game--shooting %--3p%-ft%-rebounds-points per game.
Drake G 17--42--18--80--2.5--5.6
Goulbourne F 14--46--35--79--3.5--5.6
Tchiengang F 17--33--30--68--3.0--3.8
McClellan F 17--30--30--52--3.0--2.3
Turnovers, Assists and Steals are about equal.
Does anyone have an opinion as to who I would be giving close to 30 min to..
This team is improving everygame. Their major problem has been scoring droughts. It's hard for a team to get in or stay in sync when the coach is running them in and out all the time. If any of this four get 27 or more tonight we'll win this thing by dd. Might anyway.
Vandy - 5
Good luck everyone
