North Carolina -4.5 over Texas **
Watched NC-ECU game the other day...NC can't handle a press in 2nd half and ECU comes back down by 20 to lose by a couple..watched Texas St come back and almost beat Texas the same day...both have young teams...but Texas has no transition game..big boys aren't running down the floor..offense is terrible..they do play pretty good defense but until Kanbongo comes back Texas looks lost..very young with 6 freshman and 3 sophs..NC is young too...think they have enough offense to win this by 8-10 pts on the rd...they rank 344 of 347 of going to the foul line..they like their perimeter game...think Roy has them driving to the hoop tonite..

Hate going against the runn'ing Griffs again...but Wyatt and Randal are tough to gd...Griifs will score with uptempo but won't be able to stop Owls.

GL Box, ECU couldn't miss the net the last 6 mins of the game, shot like 80% from the floor, down by 21 at one time and Roy also put his bench guys out there. Also Lebo, ECU HC, a former player when Roy was a coach for Dean @ UNC, so a bit of a let down for UNC in that game the closing 1/4 of the game.

Texas has been pitiful this year and blaming the NCAA for Kabongo not being eligible. Barnes' worse start in a long time at UT.

I don't understand that Texas line. I thought line would be closer to 10.
Texas plays great defense but cannot score. Even if UNC is soft on defense, I dont see how Texas scores enough points to stay close

Wild bill..your right about the ending..was impressed with ECU though...but Williams was so upset at the end...I'm sure he didn't want to blowout Lebo but that came back to almost bite him...ECU isn't to bad...but NC needs to attack the hoop..when you live by the perimeter you die by it too..esp on the road...Green I had the line at -7 or 8 only because of NC's recent play.. If UNC plays tough defense tonite Texas is in a lot of trouble because their offense is so inconsistent..they are a very young team...but so is NC..

Roy Williams is an awful coach with an awful lot of talent every year.

Yes, ECU played good down the stretch. BUT...Carolina was up by 11 with A MINUTE TO PLAY...and simply will not stop running and gunning. Absolute morons. The team known for 4-corners won't let the other team foul them.

Tonight was atrocious. I'm ready for Roy to step down. Sick of watching such terrible basketball year after year and hoping that elite talent makes up for horrible coaching. They are young this year but its the same thing every year. "Run faster" is his only answer. Won't even call a timeout on huge runs.

I just don't get it. And how about recruiting a guy that can shoot....

I'll agree with that. Every other great team seems to have a guy that can flat out shoot. At the end of games, somehow that guy always ends up with the ball even though the other team knows the guy can shoot.

Might as well have Mike D'Antoni coaching.....
