Nova -8 over Temple ****
Nova has dominated these past years despite Fran D trying to knock off the top team in the Big 5..78-57 last yr,the years before 83-67,85-62 and 90-74...looks like Temple has had problems on defense.. Nova just beat LaSalle by 10 and Lasalle just best Temple. Nova beat St Joes by 41 and temple won by 3...so many comparisons but you can't go by that... Nova is the better team overall...regardless of what rank they are...they avg 85 pts a game...they have Bridges who is a 6'6 gd that can score,rebound and leads Nova with 13 blocked shots...Brunson is the best player..Scores but is there top defensive player...Booth who has been hitting 3's from the parking lot and Divenzo are also key players who can score..Paschall the Fordham transfer is 6'8 who has been in a shooting slump...out standing inside...they play great team defense and share the ball...17,48,25,28 25 and 19 assists from 5 different players...Temple has been up and down..did beat Clemson,Auburn and South Car...but is not a big scoring team...has Alston a solid gd and Rose who can score...but Brunson will take Alston on from the point of his attack and neutralize him ....Obie E inside might get some bds and scores but Owls don't have the depth...Nova has to much speed.and plays solid defense...at Temple so the crowd will be loud and sold out..doesn't matter...good gds negate home crowd advantage... Nova has been there and still handled the owls..
Houston -1 over LSU **
Houston has a lot of talent...Grey is big time..don;t think LSU defense can stop the Coogs..LSU lost to Lasalle and G, Wash...still see Houston blowing away Arkansas 91-65..LSU did beat Houston last yr by 19...think Coogs get a road win by a few..other then Houston losing to Drex they are 9-1..
Boise St -10 over Grand Canyon **
Grand has been playing at home winning 5 or 6 games...they lost to the Johnnies by 8 last week...they have Braun who is really good and another gd..they were known as a great 3 pt shooting team but this year rank 304th in 3 pt FG%...they rank very high on defense giving up 59 pts a game but have played such weak teams...think going on the road will be tough for them Boise just beat Oregon by 3 at their place...with an amazing shot,..but Boisr can shoot the 3 and have 2 outstanding gds ...not to many post players but Grand C has none either...think Boise wins this by 1-15 points...Boise can shoot better,play better defense and rebound better..and are at home..

did look at that game...Portland avgs 91 pts a game..can shoot the 3 and is 8-0 vs the spread...No 1 team in the country...they beat Stanford and Utah St...also beat Portland Bible Univ by 50...Oregon avgs 85 pts a game..but can rebound..the top 4 rebounders for Portland are gds..Ducks have White and Brown 6'9 and 6'7 inside...plus 2 solid gds..they struggled vs Texas Southern the other nite winning by a few...hard to read what Duck team shows up...the line is +14.5 so with Portlands ats record might take the points and duck...but if real Ducks showup think they win big..good luck.. I am going to pass on this game..
