5,000th post:eek::spotting: :toast:

Update record in am, with the Kings in progress right now. Playing 3 for tomorrow......

Wild -.5+110 x2
Thrash ML+210 x2
Sabres ML+265 x1

Really wanna hammer the Quacks tomorrow nite, but the price is suspiciously cheap?? . Playing Atl and Buf for value reasons, as the recent performance of NYR and Dal don't really warrant being such huge favs.

Any thoughts on Anaheim, guys??

AS ALWAYS, GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!!!

ddubs,

I like the Anaheim game as well, but the price scares me. I'm wondering if it is either an overreaction on the part of the books regarding Chicago's 2-1 road trip out west and winning 3 of their last 4.

The Ducks aren;'t the greatest of road teams so that cooled me off as well. Still might give it a shot though.

(Sports Network) - The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim continue to scramble for playoff positioning tonight when they visit the Chicago Blackhawks at the United Center.

With 83 points the Ducks are tied with Minnesota for sixth place in the Western Conference, although the Wild hold two games in hand. Both teams trail Colorado by six in the standings, and are three ahead of Edmonton.

The Ducks are coming off Sunday's 2-2 tie with Calgary, as Petr Sykora scored a pair of goals late in the third period to force the stalemate. Sykora netted the equalizer with a mere 31 seconds left in regulation and pushed Anaheim to 5-2-1 in its last eight games.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere turned aside 37 shots and remains one victory shy of matching Guy Hebert's team record of 31, which was set in 1998-99. Giguere has already set a franchise mark with seven shutouts this season.

The Ducks, who have split their last 10 road games, begin a three-game away swing tonight and will visit St. Louis on Thursday.

Chicago, meanwhile, has won its last two, including Monday's 3-2 overtime triumph in San Jose to close out a three-game road trip. Theo Fleury scored on a breakaway 1:26 into the extra session, after the Sharks had erased a two-goal deficit. Chris Simon and Mark Bell also tallied, while Jocelyn Thibault made 35 stops.

The Blackhawks, 1-8-1-1 in their last 11 at home, will visit Colorado on Saturday.

Anaheim is 3-0 against Chicago this season, and 6-2-1 in the last nine clashes. The Ducks have, however, lost in four of their last six trips to the Windy City.

Thanks very for the input, gents. I think I'm gonna be laying off of it, since usually if a game looks too easy, or the price too cheap, it turns out to be a trap. It's hard to sweep a 4 game season series against a pro team in any sports, and Chicago has some confidence and short turnaround time for revenge on the 5-2 loss on the 12th. Chicago dominated SJ, Calg, and Bos in winning 3 of their L4, and had 37 shots vs Ana in the 5-2 loss. Also has anyone noticed that the Quacks' PP has disappeared?? 1PPG in L10 games:eek:. Plus if you look at the Quacks' L10 opponents, only Det and Edm currently hold a playoff spot. Helenius will suit up for the Hawks tonite, also.

Will likely put another unit on Minny. Like it more and more now.

BEST OF LUCK IN YOUR PLAYS TONITE, FELLERS:D

Sabres ;)

And I think you are making the right decision in the Anaheim vs. Chicago game as well. May want to even look at the game again to see if there are some things to make you go against your initial lean ;).
