this one shouldnt go near the total. yesterday, montreal played bad news bears style baseball and the game still only had 7 runs. les expos were uncorking wild pitches, making stupid plays in the field, and zach day was brutal. a power pitcher like prior shouldnt have much trouble in the conditions. and vasquez is normally pinpoint with his accuracy. this one goes under.
detroit.....same reasons apply to this one as posted for tuesday obviously...just feel like theres absolutely no reason for affeldt to be laying road chalk- period..tigers should break out the champagne and get victory number one
minnesota....twins bats not much to speak of right now...yanks playing well...basically, just a value play..sometimes, we as baseball cappers try spewing tons of rhetoric about how the opposing pitcher sucks or something..its like we "convince ourselves the other team isnt good and has no chance"...mussina is as good as they come...hes throwing well...yanks are playing well...just feel like theres value with the twins and thats good enough for me
boston....i like fossum at this price....hes really the only red sox pitcher i ever find myself backing...pedro and lowe are always huge chalks, so i never back em...and the rest of the boston rotation throws meatballs...fossum is normally priced fairly...and i think he can get the job done...jays went from ice cold early in the season to red hot now...but still feel sox are a little better
