The Blue Jays will get a nice little break, as they play a matinee at the Skydome starting at 12:35 Wednesday and don't play again until Friday night in Fenway.

I look for them to head out in a winning way. Did you see who was "inked" in to start tomorrow? :yup Yep, it's our long sleeved friend, Justin Miller. He is showing a 5.40 ERA against the Twins this year, but it is noteworthy that this was his first start of the year on 4/28, as he was brought in as the result of a search for a new fifth starter. Since then, he shown reliability and some real nasty stuff. Although he got roughed up early last Friday night against the Red Sox, he settled down and gave the club a chance to win (even though the bullpen ultimately couldn't).

On the other hand, the stat that jumps out at me about Kyle Lohse is his strikeout-to-walk ratio: he has only 20 strikeouts to go along with his 25 WALKS! This is just asking for trouble, and I think the Jay bats will make him hurt if this trend continues.

This is a definite play for me, and I will post prices and a couple more games when I have them.........

Tomorrow's gonna be a long day at the office, so good luck the rest of the way tonight fellas.

OUCH........Things didn't improve while I was sleeping last night. :( Easily my worst day so far. 0-3 (-370)

New YTD 26-13 (+1355)

I got the Jays this AM at -115. Will be back after work with a couple more plays.

Good Luck today. ;)

The guy is an absolute heart attack on the mound!!!! He has got to be finished. You can't continue to blow games in the 8th and 9nth.
Best of luck tonight.

Tell me this doesn't just suck the life out of the entire team as well. He has to be gone.......and I think Tosca should be right behind him. I don't think today was the day to make sure everyone got a chance to play....:nono:

I'm right with ya Sharky ... just commented on that bum in my thread cause I was also on the Jays today. I think the kid Miller is a decent young pitcher so I jumped on your ship and took the Jays today. I was worried about the bullpen cause there is no doubt the Twins is much better.

On a good note ... Joe Nathan is a closer on my fantasy team (along with billy Wagner, and Danny Kolb) and he has pitched like a stud so far this year for me.

Well, I am SUPPOSED to be working, but this bum has me wound up tighter than a ten cent wrist watch right now......

Sorry Lightning and anyone else that listened to me brag up Miller and the Jays today. The kid didn't let me down, but the side show Tosca is leading in the bullpen is nothing short of embarrassing.

What a great day to be a Jay fan......:thefinger

I think I'm gonna need a cold one. That performance was enough to drive a guy to drink. :drinky:
Heavily. :drinky: :drinky: :drinky:

Speaking of Tosca, why don't you bunt when the lead off batter gets on in the 9th. It gives you two shots to tie the game, and if Johnson or Hudson get on, Wells gets a chance to bat. Maybe have Gomez bunt, then have Catalonotto bat for Johnson ? I never played much baseball, but have watched a lot of games. Maybe it doesn't work out, but don't you try to stay out of the double play situation ?

Don't let this beat get you down -- Miller was solid as promised and lets face it you can't cap the fact that your manager would leave a struggling closer on the mound with the bases loaded.

Alice, Blackman....thanks guys. I respect your opinions. I'm a real big Dolphin fan, and you know, I very rarely bet them throughout the NFL season. Sometimes, though, I think I let my heart lead me into these damn Blue Jays? Although I'm not a real fan of tatoos, I sure seem to like this Justin Miller, who has 60% of his body covered in them. He can pitch! However, this bullpen is a natural disaster and the manager is the "meterologist", and I think that alone should concern anyone betting on the Jays. I know I'm whining here, but if it were anyone other than this club, I would definitely get over it a lot better. ;) Sorry again to anyone for bragging up this squad...I'll pick and choose my spots much better.
Thanks again fellas........still looking at a couple for later tonight.
