It has been a rough 5 days. My record went from 23-14 to 28-25....yep, that's 5-11 over the last 16 picks.
Vandy(24) +14 at Florida (1)
Purdue +3 over Ohio State (4)
Texas Tech -3 over Texas(22)
Georgia +2 at Tennessee
Wisconsin (2) +1 at Indiana
Thoughts:
Vandy is playing very well,and Florida is winning, but not in spectacular fashion. The line is tight despite looking a bit high. I think this line is a great value.
The line is tight at +3, but Ohio State has had family losses in the program this past weekend. Oden's friend growing up was killed in a car accident on Sunday and the funeral (which Oden attended) was yesterday. Junior Othello Hunter just lost both his grandmother and grandfather on Sunday, as well. You can make a case for this being a motivator for Oden and the Bucks, but I think it will be enough of a distraction that Purdue wins outright. Purdue is a decent team at home.
Texas Tech just stumbled against Missouri, but I think they are going to get back on track and thump the overrated Longhorns.
Georgia is a good value in my opinion. Tennessee should be favored by I see the line has dropped a bit thanks to their recent play.
This Wisconsin play is making me ill. I show the Badgers should be a 1pt favorite, so the line is not off by that much. I'm going to go against my normal strategy (fade me now) and take the team that I think is just plain better.
