Clemson +100 (@ South Carolina) for 2 units ? The rubber match of this disjointed series takes place tonight. Offensively a slight edge goes to South Carolina. Pitching edge all around goes to Clemson though. South Carolina starts Adam Westmoreland tonight. Westmoreland has a 4.65 ERA; 1.58 WHIP; .221 opponents avg. and 31 K?s in 31 IP. He pitched against Clemson two weeks ago and was pulled after not being able to register an out in the 3rd inning. Clemson counters with Freshman Scott Weisman. Weisman has 0.84 ERA and 12 K?s in only 10 2/3 IP. This will be Weisman?s first start as his 9 appearances this season have all been relief. Head coach Jack Leggett must have a ton of confidence in the youngster for him to have his first start be on the road against their in-state rival. Even if Weisman doesn?t make it far, Clemson has a very strong bullpen and several guys they can turn to for a few innings at a time.
