Two small plays to start off the season:
Cuse -17.5 for 1 unit ? even without Rautins (doubtful with an ankle injury from Monday) I think Syracuse will roll in this one. Scoop Jardine is more than capable of stepping into the starting lineup and putting up some points for the Orange. IE had a good post about Robert Morris and how guards Chappell and Francisco are going to be missed by that team. Forward Rob Robinson is the star on their team, but he alone won?t be able to contain Cuse?s big men (AO and Rick Jackson) alone. The Orange came out pretty motivated from their exhibition loss and got Boeheim his milestone win on Monday. Think they will continue tonight.
Cal/Detroite Over 139.5 for 1 unit ? I have the exact same thoughts as Spang on this one. Everyone knows Cal has a potent offense and can put up points quickly with their 3 point shooting. Detroit is much improved though and is going to get noticed early I believe. They are wanting to play an up-tempo game and tonight it will be displayed.
