Jord,
It would be interesting to do an analysis on how different it would be if you took the entire amount you're betting first half and game and just bet the game (final result only). By no means am I asking you to go through that exercise

but I've often wondered if in the long run it really would make much of a difference. Good luck!
I have wondered that too.. and to be honest, I don't have the detailed records like I should.
I will say this though... The thing that playing the 1h does for me most mentally, is it keeps me more in tune with the flow of the game. I feel my 2h acumen has been greatly aided by playing all these halves and looking at the game in parts. I will do the research 1 day.
The other thing it does that is tough to measure... it exacerbates my losing times, but makes the winning streaks that much more profitable. Being that I have a large bankroll and can endure some losing, it allows me to really pound them when I'm running well. From my trading days I learned, if you don't take serious advantage of the good times, you have no shot long run.
Doyle Brunson refers to a similar mentality in his book 'Super Systems.' In short, he says I know about the math, but I don't care. I live the game, and anyone who tells you that you don't go rushes hasn't played enough. The rushes are significant and meaningful in a way that can't really be determined by stats.
This was a bit of ramble, but I'm doing 20k things right now.
cheers :toast:
