im going with the #1 for the Wednesday Feature. short grass sprint, and what looks to be a pretty wide open field.
short price on the 1st time turf Pletcher horse who is historically over bet on grass. 18% 1st on grass winners. I think this is a very beatable horse that is a short price and close to the morning line favorite.
the #1 has been inconsistent, but has some back form and class. last fall at Keeneland, she ran arguably the best race of any horse in this field. she broke her maiden vrs a field of 10, and won by 4 lengths. finishing some 5 lengths better than 3rd place finisher, Vicars In Trouble, who was considered to be a live Derby long shot until drawing the rail.
shes put in 5 works since her last race, and the last one was a nice one. has tactical speed and could sit just off the lead. draws the rail and could work out a very nice trip.
if morning line is any indication, the odds are great for taking a shot with this one.
