0-2 on sunday. hopefully that's not the beginning of the cold streak i keep waiting for. took a couple days with the short cards, but i really like a few tonight.

virginia (-3.5) 1 unit. now i'm not normally one to play a lot of conference road favs, but i couldn't pass this one up. it looks a little too easy, which worries me, but i think it's a legit line. the cavs only beat miami by 11 a couple weeks ago, but they went DEEP into the bench (playing 15 guys!!! who knew they had 15 guys? i think the team manager suited up) after opening up a 16-point halftime lead. virginia, behind their great backcourt, should get a solid win tonight. singletary scored 22 the first matchup. on 8 shots. wow. he is the anti-kobe bryant.

rutgers (+5) 2 units. ok, maybe tonight is the night uconn gets their first road win of the year (i don't really count the win at msg against st johns. i didn't see the game, but that's usually a neutral court when the huskies are there.) but until they do win a true road game, i'll continue to go against them, especially as a favorite. they had to go to OT to beat rutgers at home a few weeks ago.

UCF (-7) 1 unit. this is purely a gut play. looks like the line is a point or two high, trying to get southern miss action.

mississippi st (-6) 2 units. love the bulldogs here. vandy is fresh off beating the #1 team in the country, and now they are ranked. 4 days later they go on the road for a non-divisional game. mississippi state is in a 3-way tie for first in the sec west. bulldogs have won 3 straight and 4 out of 5, covering in all 5 games. vandy is 2-4 on the conference road, 6-0 at home. oh, and we also have ye olde 'unranked team favored over a ranked team'. love it.
