it was nice taking a couple days off after my foolishness on sunday. who woulda thunk playing all 8 games was a bad idea? one play tonight...
st mary's (+3) 2 units. i'll be honest.... i know very little about san diego state. but i do know st mary's is a damn good team with patty mills. st mary's has beat the aztecs each of the last two years. with a healthy patty mills, the gaels are 22-2. and i don't know how healthy he really was against gonzaga in the wcc tournament. st mary's got screwed more than anybody else when they were omitted from the ncaa tournament, and they're playing like they have a chip on their shoulder. they have such a strong trio with mills, simpson, and samhan.
also, some of the normal negatives about playing the 2nd game in 3 nights are not applicable here. for one thing, it's a relatively short trip. and since these two teams already played this year, it's not like they are going in with almost no preparation. i like st mary's to get a win tonight.
