Tuesday 2-1 [all totals]
TODAY:
1. FLA at TOR OVER 5.5 goals
Both teams in BB games. FLA scored 3 last nite at MON. TOR played terrible defense against BUF last nite, and Joseph played brilliantly to keep it a 3-0. BURE is on a roll for FLA, but I dont expect TOR to be shut out against FLA. Prior games were 4-4, 4-1, and 5-3. SIDES: I lean to FLA +1.5, esp. if TOR plays D like they diod last nite in BUF.
2. SABRES at Carolina OVER 5.0
BUF in BB, shutting out TOR 3-0 last night. reaching 40 wins for first time since 96-97. Have picked up Heinze and Audette which will help offense. Teams are tied #1 PK. Prior games 4-1 and 5-3 (series 1-1) SIDES: Lean to BUF +.5,as they are on a roll.
3. NASHVILLE -.5 at MINNY
MIN 0-5 scoring 6 goals last 5 games. Prior games were 2-1, both won by NASH. NASH has 17 road wins this year, and still have shot at play-offs. TOTALS: lean to UNDER 4.5, based on two prior games.
4. VANCOUVER -.5 at COLUMBUS
VAN leads series 3-0, scoring 14 goals in 3 wins. Each team lost their best scorer last week, Naslund for VAN and Sanderson for CMB.
CMB has a very unusual stat re/ wins losses: if they allow 2 goals or less, their record is 22-5-6-1, but if they allow 3 or more, the record drops to 2-29-2-5. This is probably true to some extent for most teams. NOTE: look for the goalie for CMB - DENIS is 0-2 vs. VAN, allowing 10 goals. TOTALS: lean to OVER 5.5. All prior games were high scoring [all OVERS], and teams will both probably be crippled by loss of leading scorers. But VAN scored 5 last game against ATL, first game w/o Naslund. Both teams at bottom of league in PK.
good luck tonight
